KCAT Art & Study Centre runs a full time one year Theatre Performance Course offering the possibility of FETAC level 5 Certificate in Theatre Performance.

- Production Design for Theatre
This inclusive course happens in a fun, dynamic environment. Each module is taught by trained, practicing theatre industry professionals, working through improvisation, devising, stage-craft, voice, movement and relaxation. Each student will also perform in the annual Spring production.
Students will learn practical acting skills; effective character development techniques; theatre production design; and will be trained in effective audition skills. The KCAT Theatre Performance Course challenges the student in a safe, creative, and friendly group oriented environment.
No previous acting experience is necessary.
The academic year starts in the third week in September and follows the national school holiday periods, finishing in mid-June. FETAC assessments take place at the beginning of May. KCAT full time courses are part-funded by Co. Kilkenny VEC.
Materials are provided as part of the course.
